Burano's Jazziest House

Casa di Bepi Suà, Burano
Casa di Bepi Suà
The island of Burano is famous the world over for its brightly coloured houses, but one house, in particular, stands out as being a little jazzier than the rest.

The Casa di Bepi Suà was once the home of Giuseppe Toselli (1920-2002), an amateur artist, who was not content, like his neighbours, to paint his house a single colour. This Buranello went one step further and covered his small abode with brightly coloured geometric shapes, which, moreover, he was constantly changing.

I was on the island the other day and couldn't help noticing that Burano's jazziest house was in need of a little TLC.
